从昨天开始听第二篇文章了，题目是Bush Talks About War,Economy in Final State of the Union Speech.

晚上夜班，工作了一宿，又热又闷，蚊子又多，后半夜还困的要死，始终静不下心来，所以效率低得要死，只是着重听了前三段，一二段意思明白了，卡在第三段了。

第三段的文字是：PRESIDENT BUSH:"Some may deny the surge is working,but among the terrorists there is no doubt.Al-Qaida is on the run in Iraq,and this enemy will be defeated."

我不理解的是第一句，即 Some may deny the surge is working,but among the terrorists there is no doubt.其中的deny的意思是vt. 否定,否认;拒绝相信,拒绝接受,拒绝给予
vi. 否定,拒绝，surge是n. 巨涌,汹涌,澎湃 i. 汹涌,澎湃,振荡,滑脱,放松 t. 急放，但这两个单词放在这个句子里我就不明白是什么意思了。后半句中的 there is是什么意思？都不知道，越想越困。

另外一点，我这篇慢速VOA标明是01 February 2008的文章，为什么沪江里的却是关于GOOGLE的一片文章呢~~~~

今天先到这里，休息一下，休息......

2007-7-1的VOA现在基本能够将其中的单词都听清楚了，里面的生词也都记住了，而且通过多次的听写，对文章的翻译也有了进一步的认识，感觉很好。但是，有一个问题是，在听的过程中总是有意无意的过分注意每个单词了，而整个句子的意思却总是把握不住。换句话说就是，单词都听明白了，但说的是什么却不能立刻在脑子里成型。这一点也许跟前面说的有些矛盾，但确实是这样。感觉英语的表达方法和习惯跟汉语有很大差别，也许是我因为我语法太差亦或是英语思维还未形成的原因吧。

慢慢来，不积跬步，无以至千里；不积小流，无以成江海。欲速则不达嘛哈哈。

另外一点，对英语的学习，尤其是对单词的记忆我有这么一个习惯，也是最近养成的，那就是在走路、坐车、看报纸，哪怕是看广告时，要是碰见了、看见了一个陌生单词（也许是一堆）， 拿出随身携带的手机（反正我手机里有英汉词典）查一下，记住发音和拼写，不求多但求在脑子里留下印象。记不住也不要紧，总是有机会再看见这个单词的，到时看着眼熟但又想不起是什么意思的时候再查一遍，哼，应该记住了。否则，重复上一句话，就不信的......

看了一下午，终于明白了，我绝对没有时间去研究这个，就这样吧呵呵。
